SiiP Taiwan – Saxon international internship Program Taiwan
Through the SIIP Taiwan program, you, as a student of NTUST, have the opportunity to apply for a company internship in Saxony, Germany.
The SIIP Taiwan program is aimed at full-time students of all subjects, particularly the following fields:
- Business administration
- Social Sciences or Psychology
- Engineering or Industrial Sciences
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Environmental/ Agri-Food/ Civil/ Socio-Economics/ Health
- Marketing, Communication Intercultural Studies
- Electrical Engineering
- Engineering & Technology
- Science & Mathematics
The internship in Saxony starts no earlier than June 15, 2026, and has a maximum duration of 3 months.
The internships are supported with a living allowance and a travel cost subsidy.

Application
The call for applications opens at the beginning of January and ends on January 31, 2026.

- Motivation letter in English for each prioritized internship offer
- Current certificate of enrollment
- CV in English
- Transcript of Records
- Proof of your English language proficiency (minimum B2 CEFR)
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or preliminary diploma (if available)
Please note:
All documents must be fully uploaded to Mobility Online no later than the end of the application deadline. Unfortunately, incomplete applications cannot be considered. Therefore, we recommend that you submit your application early and not wait until the last day. If you have any questions or need advice, please feel free to contact Leonardo-Sachsen.
Eligible Students
Students of NTUST with proof of enrollment can apply.
Financial support
Selected students may receive funding as part of the Saxon Student Mobility Program. This includes a monthly scholarship rate of 850 EUR and a one-time travel allowance of 2,125 EUR. Additionally, a Social Top Up is possible for:
- Students with a degree of disability (GdB) of 20 or higher or with a chronic illness
- First-generation university students
- Working students
- Students with children
The funding is paid out in two installments. You will receive 70% of the funding after your arrival at the Saxon institution and submission of the Confirmation of Arrival (PDF). The remaining 30% will be paid after submission of the Confirmation of Attendance / Confirmation of Stay (PDF).

Note: The Social Top Up is an additional monthly amount (usually 250 EUR) for eligible students.
Selection Process & Matching
The review of applications and matching with companies is carried out by Leonardo-Sachsen until early February. Online interview appointments take place until mid-February. Afterwards, you will receive either an acceptance or rejection. You can then proceed directly to apply for your visa and work permit.
Visa & Work Permit
The visa process is organized and supported by Leonardo-Sachsen together with the students. The basis for the residence permit is an authorization from the Central Foreign and Specialist Placement Office (ZAV). Leonardo-Sachsen arranges this authorization for you, but they rely on your cooperation.
Every student coming to Germany for an internship needs a work permit from the Central Agency for Employment Placement (ZAV). The entire process can take up to four weeks. Leonardo-Sachsen takes care of the application for you. With this authorization, the visa is issued.
An international travel health insurance is a prerequisite for obtaining a visa and participating in the program.
