Saxon Science Liaison Offices worldwide

The Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture, and Tourism (SMWK) has established various scientific coordination offices worldwide in recent years and aims to strengthen collaboration between science and industry in Saxony and various key countries and regions.

Leonardo-Sachsen is actively committed to the goals of these Saxon Science Liaison Offices (SSLO), which are managed by various Saxon universities. A central concern of our work is to introduce young talents abroad to the Free State of Saxony at an early stage as an attractive place for study, research, and professional development. In this collaboration, we place particular emphasis on specifically attracting students to fields of study where there is an increased demand for skilled workers in Saxony. By initiating and supporting joint projects and networks, we help to establish sustainable cooperation. Through these activities, we make an important contribution to implementing the Saxon state government’s action plan, which aims to attract international specialists and skilled workers to Saxony.
