					 General Funding Criteria 
							
			
			
		
						
				- Nomination:
You must be nominated by your university for the semester abroad.- Students of DHSN should contact their program director (Authorised Representative for Practical Training) at their location in advance regarding this.
 - Students of FH Dresden should contact the ➚International Office of their university in advance regarding this.

 - Enrollment:
You must be enrolled at a participating university for the entire duration of your studies abroad. - Application:
The application for funding must be submitted before the start of the semester abroad, ideally at least 12 weeks in advance, or earlier if possible. - Recommended timing:
Although a semester abroad is possible from the first year of study, it is only recommended from the third year onwards. Please discuss this with your university. - Academic relevance:
The semester abroad must be relevant to your course of study. - Erasmus+ partnership:
There must be a bilateral agreement between your home university and the host university. Please clarify this with your university in advance. - Minimum duration:
The semester abroad must last at least 60 days (including weekends and public holidays). - Erasmus quota:
At least 2 months must be available from your Erasmus quota (max. 360 days per study cycle for multi-cycle courses, 720 days for single-cycle courses, e.g. diploma programs). Multiple stays (e.g. a semester abroad and an internship abroad) are possible as long as the quota is not exceeded. - Insurance:
The Erasmus+ mobility grant does not include insurance coverage. However, you have the option to take out coverage through the ➚DAAD group insurance. 
Important notes:
- If the Erasmus+ contract conditions are not met (e.g. shortening/interruption under 60 days, changes to modules/courses), the scholarship may be reduced or revoked.
 - Requests for extensions must be submitted to Leonardo-Sachsen at least one month before the planned change and are only possible if sufficient funds are available.
 - Application: The application for a semester abroad is submitted digitally via ➚Mobility Online
 
					 Criteria for an Erasmus+ Grant 
							
			
			
		
						
				- The awarding of an Erasmus+ scholarship is subject to the availability of funds.
 - You must be nominated for the semester abroad by your home university and have been accepted by the host university with a Letter of Acceptance or Learning Agreement.
 - All application documents must be submitted to Leonardo-Sachsen on time. The information about the host university, the planned modules/courses, and your personal details will be reviewed according to the funding criteria.
 - There is no legal entitlement to the scholarship until all parties involved (your home university, the host university, yourself, and Leonardo-Sachsen) have signed the Grant and Learning Agreement.
 
					 Amount of Funding 
							
			
			
		
						
				The European Commission divides the destination countries into three groups. The funding rates for each country are centrally determined by the DAAD.
For the Erasmus+ project year 2024/25, the following monthly funding rates apply:
- Group 1 (€690/month): Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Sweden.
 - Group 2 (€540/month): Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Cyprus.
 - Group 3 (€540/month): Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary.
 
The funding is paid per semester abroad for a maximum of 150 days, even if your stay lasts longer.

				- Contract Creation and Dispatch:
After successful review of all documents, the scholarship contract is created, checked, and then sent to you together with further instructions. - Signing the Contract:
The contract must be signed by the following parties:- You yourself (the scholarship holder)
 - The host university
 - Your sending home university
 - Leonardo-Sachsen
 
 - Payment of the First Installment:
After all signatures have been received, you will receive the first installment of the scholarship, which amounts to 70% of the total sum. - Undertaking the Study Abroad:
You complete your study abroad. Please inform Leonardo-Sachsen immediately about any changes (e.g., duration of stay, place of study). - Completion and Submission of Documents:
No later than 30 days after the end of your study abroad semester, you must submit all final documents. - Payment of the Second Installment:
After successful review of the final documents, you will receive the remaining installment of up to 30% of the total scholarship amount.

				The ➚Erasmus Student Charter governs the rights and responsibilities of student program participants.
Data Protection Notice
Your documents containing personal data are required by the Leonardo-Sachsen for the processing, support, and accounting of your Erasmus+ internship and will be securely stored for ten years in accordance with regulations. This is necessary because audits by European and national authorities are possible. After this period, your data will be deleted in compliance with data protection regulations. You can find our data privacy statement in the Mobility Online form.

If he or his representative is unavailable, the management of Leonardo Saxony is also available to assist you. Your concerns will be treated confidentially and dealt with as quickly as possible. Additional contacts will be involved if necessary. You will be informed directly about the resolution of your concern. All feedback also helps us to continuously improve the program and is incorporated into the regular evaluation and further development of Erasmus+ in Saxony.
