The study modules in the STIPT program take place, depending on the announcement, at one of the following partner universities:

Selected students will receive the following financial support for their stay abroad through STIPT:

  • EUR 700 per month as a subsidy for living expenses
  • EUR 1.500 lump sum for travel expenses

The funding will be paid out in two installments: 90% before your stay in Taiwan (after signing the funding agreement) and 10% after your return and after submitting all final documents (Transcript of Records from Taiwanese universities and participation in our monitorings and surveys).

Please note:

  • Double funding from German public sources is not permitted; for example, PROMOS scholarships cannot be combined with the financial support provided through STIPT.
  • Certain expenses (such as service fee of the Taiwanese university, rent, visa, insurance, travel expenses) may need to be paid before the funding is disbursed  and must initially be covered by the students themselves.
  • Accommodation will be provided by the Taiwanese host institutions but must be paid by the participants themselves.
  • Application Review: The Leonardo-Sachsen team reviews your submitted applications for eligibility for funding.
  • Selection Committee and Final List: An independent international selection committee ranks all candidates and drafts a final list in consultation with TSMC.
